Seeking to Inspire, Connect and Renew

The Pastoral Ministry Network (formerly known as NAPPA – NSW Association of Pastors, Pastoral Associates and Pastoral Workers) provides a forum for the encouragement and development of collaborative ministry and leadership among all those involved in Catholic Pastoral Ministry – lay, ordained and religious.

Our members are drawn from parishes, dioceses, education, health, aged care, social services, youth movements, family groups and individuals desiring renewal in our church today as we cooperate with the Holy Spirit in becoming Christ’s disciples for the sake of the mission.

We offer approaches to:

  • promote co-operation and mutual support;
  • develop pastoral planning and ministry;
  • enhance networking and fellowship of those in ministry;
  • offer education and formation;
  • explore avenues for mediation and advocacy for those in leadership and ministry;
  • liaise with the National Lay Pastoral Ministry bodies, the Catholic Bishops of NSW through their delegate and the Conference of Leaders of Religious Institutes (NSW).

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”

– Galatians 5:22 – 26
